Chair Kevin Kennedy

Commissioner Kennedy was elected to the Bible Hill Village Commission in June 2015.  He was re-elected as Village Commission Chair in June 2023. Kevin is also Chair of the Audit Committee, Municipal Boundaries Committee, By-law Committee, Personnel Committee, and is the Commission representative on the Village's Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee.

Deputy Chair Donna Van Kroonenburg

Deputy Chair Van Kroonenburg has lived in the Village of Bible Hill for most of her life.  She is married to Leo and has two daughters and one son.  Donna is a member of the Bible Hill Fire Brigade Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a Sparks, Brownie, and Pathfinder leader for the Village for many years.  She is also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church where she is a member of the Catholic Women's League.  She loves to golf in Debert on Wednesday nights during the season as well as loves spending time at Brule Beach.  She is currently employed with Colchester East Hants Health Authority.  "I have the best interests of the residents and families of this beautiful village when I am sitting at the Commission table". 

Donna was re-elected as Village Commission Deputy Chair in June 2023. Donna is Chair of the Transportation Services Committee, and Deputy Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee, Recreation & Cultural Services Committee, Municipal Boundaries Committee, By-law Committee, and Personnel Committee.

Commissioner Dwight Giddens

Commissioner Giddens was elected to the Village of Bible Hill Commission in June 2023.

Commissioner Giddens' volunteer work started in 2006 and continues today. In the past 10 years he has been a volunteer behind the scenes at Scotia Pool and for the past 5 years he has been the chair of Scotia Pool Society. Navigating their way through the COVID crises and successfully dealing with the Municipality of the County of Colchester on funding initiatives, has given him the experience to work effectively in tough times and with an eye on improving the future. In 2021 he was presented with an Outstanding Community Service Award on behalf of the Village of Bible Hill for his volunteer work and you can expect the same dedication as a Commissioner.

In 1982 he started and grew R&D Performancenter, a performance-based business based in Lr. Onslow until the business was sold in 2006, but continued his career there until he retired in May 2022. From 2008-2012 he was the president of the Maritime League of Legends, a promotional group set up to grow motorsports in the Maritimes. The success in his business and behind the scenes in growing motorsports in the Maritimes, ultimately lead to his induction into the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame in November of 2022.

 Dwight is Chair of the Recreation & Cultural Services Committee and Deputy Chair of the Transportation Services Committee.

Commissioner Knickolle Pitcher

Commissioner Pitcher was elected to the Village of Bible Hill Commission in 2018. Originally from PEI, she completed her B.A. at St. F.X.U in Antigonish, and after working and traveling as far as Japan, she returned to Nova Scotia, settling in Bible Hill 16 years ago with her husband and two sons. In that time, she has seen many positive changes take place in the Village.

She has volunteered in the community with various sport and social groups, in local schools, and for non-profit organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Central Nova Women’s Center, and Maggie’s Place. She is currently working at Futureworx as a Career Development Instructor. A Yoga Therapist with a genuine interest in people, she is a certified facilitator for the reduction of stress and anxiety and has offered workshops and seminars on self-exploration and development.

She enjoys working with her fellow Commissioners and hearing from constituents while always striving to be an advocate for positive change and growth in the community. Knickolle is Chair of the Environmental Health Services Committee and Deputy Chair of Protective Services Committee.

Commissioner        Tim Shea

Commissioner Shea was elected to the Village of Bible Hill Commission in November, 2020. Born and raised in Halifax, Commissioner Shea moved to Truro Heights in 1998 and then to Bible Hill in 2004.  It was here where he and his wife of 22 years raised 3 wonderful sons.  Tim was an active participant in minor sports, helping in whatever capacity was needed and he was a consistent volunteer at East Court Rd. School, where his sons attended. Tim has enjoyed a twenty-year career in the Medical Equipment sales industry, currently representing a leading international company, and is now a real estate agent. Tim ran for the Office of Commissioner to give back to the community that has given so much to him. Tim is Chair of the Protective Services Committee, Deputy Chair of Environmental Health Services Committee, and Commission Representative on the Regional Accessibility Advisory Committee.
