The Splash Pad at the Bible Hill Recreation Park is now closed for the season.  

Outdoor Adventure Play Workshop

You are invited to attend The Outdoor, 'Outdoor Adventure Play' Workshop taking place in Bible Hill & Truro, NS on Saturday September 19 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. If you want to learn how to facilitate outdoor, adventurous unstructured play opportunities and learn how play in nature is connected to child development and academic preparedness, this workshop is for you!

We are excited to present a variety of passionate and knowledgeable outdoor play and adventure leaders from across Nova Scotia who will take you on an exciting educational journey. We are very pleased to announce our Keynote Speakers are leading outdoor play expert Dr. Beverlie Dietze and Nova Scotia's own 'A for Adventure' team!  Our hope is you will leave the Outdoor Adventure Play workshop with new ideas, tools, knowledge and inspiration to advance your outdoor play practice!

See attached a complete outline for our event. This outline includes the Workshop Schedule, Keynote Speaker bios, Session Descriptions, Presenter bios and logistic/payment details.

Cost/PD/Dietary Requests:
The workshop costs $20 for the full day. A 5 hour PD certificate will be presented at the end to those interested. We will be accepting cheques on site (we will not accept cash). Please make your cheques out to the 'East Hants Community Learning Association'.

pickleballGreat news! The gym floor at Douglas Street Recreation Centre is almost ready. 

Afternoon and evening pickleball will be able to resume at Douglas Street Recreation Centre next week, on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. 

Pickleball courts will be open Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please spread the word!
