Fitness Classes at the Village Hall

2014 is here and many are looking for something new to kick start there year and this year the Village Hall has something for everyone.  Check out the programs that are running out of the Village Hall with so many opportunities to get involved how could you not.

Zumba with Joleen

Time: Monday & Wednesday 4:45pm and Sunday at 9am

Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness class with easy-to-follow steps of dance styles, such as merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, and much more! Music from some popular artists such as Pitbull, Shakira, Don Omar, and Daddy Yankee. Come check out a class that has a very welcoming and positive-energy environment! As your instructor, the classes are yours to make your own! Routines of each song are broken down for you, before and/or after each song, at your request. Your dance styles and/or steps are most welcome as well! Leave the class feeling great! :).

Senior Fitness Classes

Instructor: Laurie Gunn

This is a fitness program open to all, fitness with low impact. The program was developed by the Centre of Activity and Aging at the University of Western Ontario.  Cost $2 per class

2013 Festival of Trees Winner

Christmas TreeEven though it now the New Year, the Village of Bible Hill wanted to thank everyone that participated in the Festival of Trees this year. The event offers the opportunity to support local community groups while celebrating the Christmas spirit. This year we had 6 trees entered and a great turn out from the community. The 2013 winning tree came from the Bible Hill Garden Club with hand made ornaments that could be found in nature. Second place went to Bible Hill Central School and third was East Court Road School. The Village of Bible Hill would like to thank everyone for participating in this year’s Festival of Trees and hope to see everyone back for next year’s event

2013 Light Up Bible Hill Winners

2013lightupbiblehillOn Thursday, December 17th at 6:30pm the Village of Bible Hill anncounced the winners of this year's Light Up Bible Hill contest.  Every year the Village takes a bus full of citzens touring around the Village looking for the best Christmas lights.  2013 was another successful year that had many amazing light displays and made the judges decision very difficult, but we had to select three big winners.  Listed below are this year's Light Up Bible Hill winners:

  • 1st Place - Betty Robinson - 36 Oak Drive
  • 2nd Place - Dan & Brenda St. John - 83 Maple Boulevard
  • 3rd Place - Mike & Cathy Murphy - 124 Dorest Drive

Congratulations to this year's winners and everyone that decorates their house and brings community and Christmas spirit to the Village of Bible Hill.

The Village of Bible Hill would like to thank Tim Horton's for the use of their bus in the tour.  Looking forward to next year!

Please watch our advertising sign on Pictou Road and check out our newly re-vamped website In order to register you must come into the Village Office and pay the registration fee ($25 for 6 weeks) on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.

Bible Hill Snowshoes Loan Out Program

The Village of Bible Hill has 50 sets of snowshoes that will be available to families or groups to get active in the winter months. These snowshoes will be for community use and a chance for families, individuals and community groups to try snowshoeing without having to buy their own shoes. Snowshoes will be available when the snow starts to accumulate! To book the snowshoes or find out more information please contact the Village Office at 893-8083. Get out and Get Active in the winter!
