Bible Hill Fire & Emergency membership is all volunteers. There usually is not anyone at the fire station unless there is an activity or work period occurring at the fire station. So you can catch us “by chance” or by one of the following more traditional methods.

About Bible Hill Fire & Emergency Service
Since 1946, Bible Hill Fire & Emergency Service has proudly protected our community. Our dedicated volunteers not only respond to fires - they also deliver prevention programs, emergency training, and mutual aid to nearby departments, serving over 5,000 residents.
What We Do
Bible Hill Fire & Emergency Service responds to:

Fires and fire-related emergencies

Serious accidents (at the request of RCMP or Emergency Health Services)

Rapid Intervention Team (support) for neighbouring fire departments

Thermal drone operations
-
Non-swift water emergencies and rescues
-
Fire prevention education and community safety programs
Members are notified through pagers, portable radios, text, and email for quick and coordinated response.
Membership
Bible Hill Fire is an all-volunteer department made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a common goal - helping their community. We are currently accepting applications for new members!
What We Expect From You:

Commitment to weekly training (about 30 sessions per year)
-
Availability to respond to emergency calls and summer weekend duty
-
Participation in committees, fire prevention, community events, and fundraising
-
Attendance at monthly business meetings
-
Respect for fellow firefighters and the Fire Service reputation
-
Willingness to complete Basic Firefighter Level 1 training

Honorarium of up to $1,000 per year from the Village of Bible Hill

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for community-minded individuals who want to help others. Whether you’re most comfortable behind the wheel, assisting on scene, medical first response or tackling hands-on firefighting duties, there’s a place for you here.
If you have a desire to serve, we can teach you the rest.
What Your Family Can Expect
While training sessions and meetings are scheduled, emergency calls can happen anytime. Family understanding and support are an important part of your success as a volunteer firefighter.
Membership Requirements
To be eligible, you must:

Be a resident of Bible Hill

Be 19 years of age or older
-
Be physically fit (medical required)
-
Have a clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check
-
Provide a driver’s abstract

Membership Process

Complete the application form and pre-interview questions.

Participate in an initial in person interview.

If successful, complete the following:

Medical (confidential)
-
Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (confidential)

Driver’s abstract

Attend a final interview and reference check.

If successful, begin a six-month probationary period.

Upon successful completion, you’ll be voted into full membership by the department.
