Notice of Intent to Consider –
“By-laws of Village of Bible Hill”
The Commission of Village of Bible Hill hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 168 (2) of the Municipal Government Act, of its intent to consider a set of bylaws, being the By-laws of Village of Bible Hill.
The object of the set of by-laws is to provide structure on the subjects of: Governance and Finance, Commission Meetings, Meetings of Electors, Annual Meetings of Electors, Elections, Committees, Sanitary Sewer Systems, Boulevard Obstruction, Exercise of Powers and Duties, Virtual Meetings, Child Care Commercial Tax Reduction, Penalties, Repeal of Existing By-laws, and the Nomination Form for Office of Commissioner.
The set of by-laws will be read for a second time and considered by the Commission of Village of Bible Hill at a meeting to be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 7pm in Commission Chambers at the Village Office, 67 Pictou Road, Bible Hill.
A copy of the draft set of by-laws may be inspected at the Village Office.

Senior Social
Senior Socials are held weekly for adults 55+ at H. Douglas Boyce Village Hall. The Senior Socials will take place every Friday (except holidays) from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, starting on September 23rd, 2022. Each week, you will be entertained by the Y Senior Citizens Band, and on the last Friday of the month, tea, coffee and a light lunch will be provided.
August 2022 Meeting Changes
The following regularly scheduled meetings of the Village Commission have been deferred:
Tuesday, August 9, 2022 (Commission in Committee)
Tuesday, August 16, 2022 (Commission Meeting)
Please also note that a Special Meeting of the Village Commission has been called for Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 7 PM, where Commissioners will consider award of a new fire apparatus to Fort Garry Fire Trucks Ltd. As with any meeting, this special meeting is open to the public.
Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of the Commission, which will resume in Septemeber, every second and third Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the Commission Chambers, at 67 Pictou Road.
Village Custodian Job Opportunity
Village of Bible Hill is recruiting a Custodian. The Custodian has the primary responsibility for cleaning the Bible Hill Village Office and H. D. Boyce Village Hall. It is the role of the custodian to follow weekly schedules to clean the office, hall, kitchen, washrooms, and the foyer entrances. The Village Custodian is a part-time non-unionized position with the Village of Bible Hill. Flexible hours available for Village Office, Sunday cleaning hours only at H.D. Boyce Village Hall. The rate of pay is $18.10 per hour.

After School Program Leader Job Opportunity
Village of Bible Hill is recruiting two After School Program Leaders for the 2022-2023 school year. These positions will deliver fun, interactive programs in Bible Hill and Valley schools. We are looking for passionate, energetic, mature, and responsible leaders with an interest in developing leadership skills to lead our programs. The programs will be physical activity-focused, with elements of play, self-leadership, and teamwork. Most programs will be based on outdoor play, games, skill building, and nature awareness activities. The programs take place directly after school multiple days per week.
