Audit Committee Member Recruitment
Village of Bible Hill welcomes applications from Bible Hill residents to serve as a volunteer on its Audit Committee for a two-year term.
The Audit Committee meets the second Tuesday of May and December each year at 5:30pm and whenever circumstances demand such a meeting. The Audit Committee Policy and application form can be found on the Village website or by contacting the office at admin@biblehill.ca or 902-893-8083.
Applicants must be financially literate and not be a Village Commissioner, employee, or immediate family member of either, and must not be a member of any other Committee of the Village. Applications must be in writing on the prescribed form and may be mailed, emailed, or submitted in-person to the Village office.
Safe Halloween 2022
You are invited to our Safe Halloween event!
Join us at the H. Douglas Boyce Village Hall on October 31st, for spooky times and trick-or-treating!
Many local businesses will be donating their candy to our event, to make trick-or-treating in the Village a one stop event!
The event will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (or until the treats are gone).
Draft Village of Bible Hill By-laws
Following first reading in September and subsequent newspaper and website advertisement indicating the Commission’s intent to consider new by-laws, second reading of a new set of bylaws named “Village of Bible Hill By-laws” was completed.
The by-laws will now be sent to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for approval, after which time notice will be published in the local newspaper to advise of their adoption.

“By-laws of Village of Bible Hill”
The Commission of Village of Bible Hill hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 168 (2) of the Municipal Government Act, of its intent to consider a set of bylaws, being the By-laws of Village of Bible Hill.
The object of the set of by-laws is to provide structure on the subjects of: Governance and Finance, Commission Meetings, Meetings of Electors, Annual Meetings of Electors, Elections, Committees, Sanitary Sewer Systems, Boulevard Obstruction, Exercise of Powers and Duties, Virtual Meetings, Child Care Commercial Tax Reduction, Penalties, Repeal of Existing By-laws, and the Nomination Form for Office of Commissioner.
The set of by-laws will be read for a second time and considered by the Commission of Village of Bible Hill at a meeting to be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 7pm in Commission Chambers at the Village Office, 67 Pictou Road, Bible Hill.
A copy of the draft set of by-laws may be inspected at the Village Office.
