Splash Pad - Closing for the season!

The splash pad at Bible Hill Recreation Park will be closed for the season on Sunday, September 8th. When it turns off in the evening, it won't be turned on again until next Summer - so get out there and enjoy it while you still can!

P&R Committee Members Needed

Are you passionate about parks, recreation, and community engagement? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee!
The committee provides valuable input, recommendations, and support to ensure our parks and recreation services meet the needs and interests of all residents.

Village of Bible Hill welcomes applications to serve on its Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee in the following volunteer positions:

• Up to three (3) youth members (14-25) for a term beginning Sept 1 through Aug 31, 2025, one of which may reside outside of Bible Hill; and
• Two (2) members for a term beginning Sept 1 through Mar 31, 2026.

The committee meets bi-monthly, on the first Wednesday of the month, at 3:30 PM.

Canada Day Parade and Park Celebrations!

Come experience the excitement of our annual Canada Day Celebrations!

The parade begins at 10:00 AM. It will start at St. David’s Avenue, turning left onto Pictou Road. From there the parade will be turning right onto Johnson Avenue, and then another right onto College Road. The parade will continue right onto Vimy Road, right onto Pictou Road and back to St. David’s Avenue.

After the parade, head over to our beloved Bible Hill Recreation Park, where there will be endless fun for park goers (or, at least until 3pm):

• StoneHouse and Gordon Tucker will be performing live
• Multiple bouncy house/inflatables by Glow The Event Store
• Pony rides by Shelby Ranch
• Face painting by Five Little Monkeys Entertainment
• BBQ cookout by Bible Hill Fire & Emergency and Scotia Pool
• Pizza lovers' favorites by Sticks and Stone Woodfired Pizza and Catering
• Keeping you hydrated is Chaplin's Confections
• Awesome ice cream slices by 902 Proud Ice Cream Cakes
• Foam party by Foam Fiesta
• Yard games by Bible Hill Recreation Facility Association of NS

Don't forget - all the activities and entertainment are FREE! Please join us!

Head over to our friends at Downtown Truro / Town of Truro / Truro Parks Recreation Culture for their activities at Civic Square on Prince Street, Truro from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM! Don't miss The Mellotones closing down the night before the fireworks show on Marshland Drive!

September Senior Craft Afternoon

September's Senior (55+) Craft Afternoon will be taking place on Tuesday, September 17 at 1:30 PM.

The craft will be a fall themed centerpiece - with Carla’s Upcycled Creations , and total cost will be $15 per person.
