Sean McDonald
Hello Fellow Residents of Bible Hill!
My name is Sean MacDonald, or as most people know me, the Ice Cream Man of Bible Hill.
I’m throwing my hat into the ring to serve you as a Village Commissioner.
As a life long resident of Bible Hill/Valley, I’ve planted my roots here in Bible Hill with my wife, our four daughters, my business, 902 Proud Ice Cream Cakes, and interests.
I believe in making resources available to residents when they need them, in encouraging growth within our community, in supporting entrepreneurs, and in keeping our children active by sponsoring local sports teams and keeping our own parks, facilities and programs running.
Issues in the village affect all of us and I want to be able to help make positive change for us all.
I’m easily accessible at my shop for any questions, concerns, or to just have a conversation.
Please consider casting your vote for your village and vote for me at either the advanced poll on June 4th from 11am-7pm or on June 8th from 9am-7pm at the H. Douglas Boyce Village Hall.

Dedicated Service, Community Pride, and Proven Leadership
As a lifelong resident of Bible Hill, I am deeply committed to our community and its future. For over 30 years, I have had the privilege of volunteering as a coach for various sports including swimming, hockey, and soccer, fostering teamwork and dedication in our youth.
My roots run deep in Bible Hill. Together with my wife, Connie, we have raised our two sons, Andrew and Michael, instilling in them the values of hard work and community spirit. Having worked in our family business, Kennedy's Variety and Deli, for over 40 years, I understand the importance of local businesses and the role they play in our village's economy.
Since being elected Commissioner in 2015 and serving as Chair since 2020, I have been honored to work with and for our community. My roles on the Protective Services Committee, Parks and Recreation Committee, and Canada Day Committee have allowed me to collaborate with Bible Hill Fire and Emergency, recreation staff, and other volunteers, enhancing our community’s safety and recreational offerings. As a Director at Large for the Association of Nova Scotia Villages, I have represented the interests of Bible Hill and other Villages, advocating for our unique needs and perspectives to the Department of Municipal Affairs.
I am a proud supporter of Scotia Pool, recognizing its value as a unique and cherished community asset. My commitment to Bible Hill is genuine, and I am passionate about contributing to its growth and evolution. By working in partnership with the Municipality of Colchester and the Town of Truro, I am dedicated to shaping our area into an increasingly vital hub of Nova Scotia.
As we look to the future, I am eager to continue collaborating with the great staff and fellow Commissioners of Bible Hill. I ask for your support to help me carry on serving the people and Village of Bible Hill. Please vote for me on June 4 or 8 at H. Douglas Boyce Village Hall, 69 Pictou Road. Together, we can ensure a thriving, vibrant future for our village.
Thank you for your continued trust and support.
